Sisters Community Church is a non-denominational, Bible-believing church.  While we all come from different backgrounds and religious traditions, we can come together because of our agreement in the inerrancy of scripture and love for Jesus.  We have a traditional style but welcome the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our worship.

Things you might expect when you come:

  • Services usually last about an hour and fifteen minutes, with singing, sermon, and communion.
  • We offer children's programs and a nursery during the service
  • We provide coffee and snacks before and after the service, so come early and stay late for fellowship
  • Once a month, we have a potluck.  If you are visiting, please come-we have enough to share!

Sisters Community Church began when Sisters Baptist Church and Cascade Bible Church merged.  Soon, the church grew and added the main sanctuary and Student Center.  For many years, it was the home of Sisters Christian Academy.  We continue to move forward in our desire to love God and love others.  We are not perfect and we are learning to give grace to each other as we grow more like Jesus.  Come join us in this journey as we connect with God, care for people, and cultivate community here in beautiful Sisters, Oregon!

Our Staff

At Sisters Community Church, our staff are committed to serving the Body of Christ and our community to the best of our ability.  On Sunday mornings, you may meet Pastor Steve, and during the week, you may contact Sheryl in the church office.  Behind the scenes, there are many of us who keep Sisters Community Church going, including an army of volunteers and helpers in every area.  Please give Sheryl a call if you would like to leave a message for anyone here at SCC at 541-549-1201 or email info@sisterschurch.com.  We look forward to helping you any way we can.

Our Elders

The Elders at SCC are committed to maintaining a close, shepherding connection with the congregation. If you are a participant in the church, you will be connected with an elder who will be responsible for direct communication with you.  Your elder will be glad to answer any questions you might have regarding the church, ministries, or future plans.  In addition, he will reach out to you on occasion to make himself available to discuss personal concerns or anything about the church.

If you would like to be included on the Elder Shepherding List, please email the church.  If you would like to contact an elder directly, please email your request and an elder will respond as soon as they are able.

What We Believe

We believe the following to be true:

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable for belief and behavior.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists relationally in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that our world is broken as a result of sin which has corrupted our relationship with God, one another and creation.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man and is the only One who can restore our relationship with God. He lived a sinless life as an example. He died on the cross in our place, and rose again victorious over sin and death.

We believe that in order to experience the life of Christ, receive forgiveness and the new birth, we must come to the realization about our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that in order to fulfill God’s design for us each day, we need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit who gives us spiritual gifts and enables us to demonstrate his fruit in our lives.

We believe Jesus established and is building his church, and it is necessary for followers of Jesus to come together regularly for fellowship, teaching, prayer, the celebration of communion and water baptism.

We believe that man’s eternal experience of either Life (Heaven) or Death (Hell) is determined by one’s response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised to reign forever in a new heaven and a new earth.

We believe marriage was created and was sanctioned by God, joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union.

We believe God created spirit beings, some of whom are faithful to God and others who are in rebellion against God’s purposes.

This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith.

Position papers that further define our doctrinal beliefs and practices are available in the Church Office.
