New Hearing Technology in the Worship Center

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news about a new technology designed to enhance the worship experience for our hard-of-hearing community!

We are currently testing a new technology called Auracast in the Worship Center during both our 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services. Auracast streams high-quality audio directly to compatible hearing aids with zero latency, giving you complete control over your listening experience through your hearing aid’s companion app. Depending on your preference, you can choose to:

  • Focus on the stage: Clear audio directly from the microphones, blocking out surrounding ambient noise.

  • Hear the room: Listen to the natural sound of the congregation and the room around you.

  • Blend both: Customize a mix of direct audio and room sound that feels just right for you.

This opportunity is thanks to Lanie Tandy, who has generously gifted this Auracast setup to our church for us to try out and provide feedback on how it works. Lanie has a deep passion for helping people hear well, and having her as an advocate and guide for the hard-of-hearing in our community is a tremendous blessing.

Need Help Getting Connected? Lanie will be available in person between services (around 9:15 a.m.) to assist anyone interested in trying it out. She can help you connect your hearing aid phone application to the auracast or answer questions if you have an older hearing aid model that might not yet support Auracast.
