Empowering Without Enabling

Community Development for Short & Long-Term Missions

How can we help others in ways that truly help?

When we give generously or serve others, our desire is to make a positive difference. But how do we know if our help is actually empowering others, or unintentionally creating dependency?

If you care about helping people in need, support those serving cross-culturally, or have participated in, or are considering, short or long term missions, this gathering is for you.

Jeff and Julie with Live Global will introduce a practical approach that equips communities to identify their strengths and develop sustainable solutions without creating dependency.

Come discover how we can serve and give with wisdom, generosity and a desire to truly empower others."

All are invited to join on Saturday, October 24, from 8:45 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room for a half day of learning together, fellowship, and intentional prayer. Coffee, snacks & lunch provided. Cost is free, but please register online as space is limited. For questions, please contact Global Partners Team Lead Katie Keranen at sponsor@hopeafricakids.com.
